The Garden Feast Nursery Cafe Functions – Werribee VIC We're seeking an experienced Brunch Chef to join our busy garden centre café. This role suits someone who loves the pace of a thriving daytime kitchen, enjoys crafting high-quality brunch dishes, and can confidently manage busy services while maintaining consistency, presentation standards and timing. You’ll play a key role in our café service as well as support the preparation for both daytime and occasional evening functions. This is a hands‑on kitchen position within a friendly, supportive team. Responsibilities Prepare and execute brunch‑style menu items during busy service periods Maintain high standards of presentation, flavour and consistency Assist with prep for daytime and evening functions Support stock control and efficient kitchen operations Ensure food safety, cleanliness and organisation are maintained at all times Contribute ideas and help ensure smooth day‑to‑day service What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a busy café or brunch kitchen Minimum 1–2 years experience in a busy café or brunch kitchen environment Ability to work quickly, cleanly and calmly during high‑volume service Strong understanding of dish costing and food cost control Reliable, positive and professional attitude Good communication and teamwork skills Availability to work weekends (essential) Must have Australian work rights What We Offer Strong work–life balance with most shifts done by 3:30pm Approximately 38 hours per week Free off‑street parking right at the door A beautiful, plant‑filled working environment within our garden centre Supportive, stable team culture Variety through café service plus function support #J-18808-Ljbffr
