Security Policy Specialist | 12-month Contract | Canberra | Federal Government | NV1 REQUIRED Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced Security Policy Specialist on an initial 12-month contract to play a key role in safeguarding people, information and assets across global networks. About the Role As a Security Policy Specialist, you will be responsible for: Developing clear, concise, accessible protective security policies for a diverse departmental audience Rapidly interpreting policy contexts, purpose and scope Collaborating closely with subject matter experts via 1:1 consultations and stakeholder workshops Ensuring all policy aligns with regulatory and legislative requirements while balancing departmental needs Mapping and managing security policy interdependencies Delivering on policy milestones and development timelines Producing supporting procedures and implementation guidance Undertaking additional duties as directed by management To succeed in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in corporate / departmental policy development for diverse internal users Strong capability working with SMEs through stakeholder consultation and workshops Ability to write plain-English policies that are accessible to broad audiences Understanding (or ability to quickly acquire knowledge) of the Protective Security Policy Framework Demonstrated ability to identify policy interdependencies and meet deadlines Ability to develop supporting guidance and procedures for policy implementation Security Clearance Requirements NV1 clearance is mandatory NV2 clearance preferred Candidates with NV1 only must be willing to upgrade to NV2 If you think this could be the right role for you APPLY TODAY or for further information, please contact Zac on #J-18808-Ljbffr
