Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Aquarium Service Technician to join and help lead our team servicing team. As an Aquarium Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the health and beauty of our client's aquatic ecosystems. Your expertise and knowledge in aquatic systems and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our business and the satisfaction of our clients. Responsibilities Management of staff, scheduling, job creation, sales and marketing. Invoicing and account payments. Training and staff management. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and water quality testing for various types of aquariums, ponds, and aquatic displays. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, recommend repairs or replacements, and ensure optimal functionality of filtration, lighting, heating, and other aquatic systems. Assist in the design, installation, and setup of new aquariums and aquatic displays according to client specifications and our company's high standards. Educate clients on proper aquarium care, water chemistry, and fish health management. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, recommendations, and solutions tailored to their specific aquatic needs. Maintain accurate records of service visits, equipment inventory, and client interactions. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in aquarium maintenance and aquatic system management. Qualifications and Essential Criteria Proven experience in aquarium maintenance, water quality testing, and equipment troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, fish species, and their care requirements. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as required. Neat and tidy presentation. Punctuality and responsibility. Valid Full driver's license and reliable transportation. Construction white card. Working with children check. Ability to work independently and as a team. Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in aquatic biology, marine science, or a related field is a plus.
