Kew Site Coordinator - Monday dance and fitness class emotion21 is a program of Inclusion Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that provides innovative programmes in dance and fitness for children and young adults with Down syndrome. Through dance, fitness, education and capacity building, emotion21 enhances lives and changes perceptions of Down syndrome and intellectual disability within society. The Site Coordinator is the face of emotion21 at the local site. The purpose of the role is to meet and greet families upon arrival, manage queries or issues, and support teaching staff, dancers and families as required. Responsibilities Act as the cultural ambassador: create a welcoming environment and foster interactions that reflect the emotion21 values. Serve as the on‑site communication specialist: relay key information to the emotion21 office promptly to support continuous improvement and ensure compliance. Act as the cooperation coach: encourage full participation in key events on the emotion21 calendar. Engage weekly with teachers and movers at class to make them feel valued and part of the community. Work with the teacher to prepare the venue: secure all equipment and property, adhere to venue guidelines, and coordinate return of lost items. Engage with key support people in each class and train movers to communicate any changes to Program Manager. Maintain compliance: promote awareness of emotion21 policies and procedures (code of conduct, confidentiality, incident reporting, emergency exit processes, health and safety, etc.) with participants, key support people and movers. Support teachers with health and safety regulations and safe‑working practices; provide emergency management support when needed. Participate in end‑of‑class debrief sessions and, where possible, in site coordinator & teacher team meetings and training. Plan the site’s end‑of‑year celebration in consultation at the start of term 4. Qualifications & Requirements There are no pre‑requisite qualifications for this position; we are seeking a team player who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Down syndrome and their families. All volunteers are required to have, or be willing to obtain, a current Volunteer NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
