Fundraising, Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager Hellenic Museum, Melbourne Are you a relationship-driven fundraising leader passionate about arts, culture, and creating meaningful community impact? The Hellenic Museum is seeking an exceptional Fundraising, Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to shape the next chapter of one of Australia’s most distinctive cultural institutions. The Opportunity You will lead a major pillar of the Museum’s external revenue strategy, building strong relationships and delivering impactful fundraising programs that enable exhibitions, education initiatives, and community programs to thrive. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role suited to a strategic thinker who is energised by engagement, collaboration, and growth. You will work closely with the Director, Board, and Development Committee to cultivate a culture of giving and position the Museum as a premier destination for cultural philanthropy and corporate partnership in Australia. What You’ll Do Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy across major gifts, annual giving, bequests, campaigns, and donor events. Identify, cultivate, and steward meaningful relationships with high‑value donors, patrons, foundations, and philanthropic partners. Lead the Museum’s Corporate Partnerships Program, developing mutually beneficial collaborations that elevate brand value and community reach. Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and impact reports that articulate outcomes and inspire investment. Secure funding from government bodies, philanthropic trusts, and foundations; oversee grant applications and reporting. Provide strategic fundraising advice to the Director, Board, and Development Committee, contributing to long‑term revenue growth and organisational planning. Develop annual philanthropic budgets and revenue forecasts, monitoring performance and insights. Represent the Museum at donor functions, cultural events, and sector forums, strengthening networks across the arts, corporate, and philanthropic communities. Foster a Museum‑wide culture of stewardship, advocacy, donor care, and collaborative engagement. What You’ll Bring Demonstrated experience (6+ years) in fundraising, philanthropy, and/or corporate partnerships, ideally within arts, cultural, or not‑for‑profit environments. Proven success in securing major gifts and partnerships and meeting fundraising targets. Strong relationship‑building skills, with experience engaging high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience with donor engagement, and the preparation of proposals, pitch documents and grant applications. Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and data‑driven reporting. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a small, committed team. Experience delivering donor or fundraising events, campaigns, and stewardship programs. (Desirable) Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; understanding of philanthropic trends in the arts; interest in Hellenic culture and history.
