Account Executive | Government and Public Sector
vor 3 Wochen
We’re looking for strategic and passionate Account Executives to join our Australian Public Sector team, helping government organisations across Australia accelerate their digital transformation through the next generation of Salesforce technology. As an Account Executive, you will partner with stakeholders across all levels of government, including federal departments, state and territory agencies, local councils, and statutory bodies. You’ll work across Salesforce’s ecosystem, collaborating with internal teams, partners, and industry specialists to deliver tailored solutions that drive customer success and meaningful community impact. As a trusted advisor, you’ll own the full sales cycle, guiding organisations through their transformation journeys. You will help them leverage Salesforce’s technology stack, including analytics, AI, automation, and workflow tools—to modernise services, improve operational efficiency, and deliver better outcomes for citizens. This includes navigating government procurement processes, understanding priority areas across jurisdictions, and articulating the strategic value of Salesforce. About the Role Drive adoption of Salesforce solutions across federal, state, territory, and local government, supporting key digital transformation initiatives. Prospect and develop new business opportunities, identifying and engaging potential clients across government organisations and statutory bodies. Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through to close, using a consultative and value‑based approach. Partner with Solution Engineers, Industry Specialists, Customer Success teams, and strategic partners to co‑create integrated and scalable solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers across diverse government organisations. Understand policy, compliance, procurement, and security requirements relevant to public sector environments. Stay ahead of market trends, including how technology, AI, and automation are shaping government service delivery and operational models. Represent Salesforce at industry events, roundtables, and stakeholder engagements to elevate our presence across the public sector ecosystem. About You Proven success as an Account Executive or in a similar sales role within SaaS, enterprise technology, or complex B2B environments. Experience selling into government (federal, state/territory, or local) and/or strong understanding of public sector processes, priorities, and buying cycles. Recognised as a trusted advisor with the ability to influence, educate, and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration with solution engineers, product teams, customer success, and consulting partners. Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to engage stakeholders across IT, digital, operations, and executive levels. A collaborative, high‑integrity approach to sales with a team‑oriented mindset. What’s in it for you Join a global leader consistently ranked among the best places to work. Do work that matters, with real‑world impact on public policy, transparency, and service delivery. Volunteer Opportunities: Seven paid volunteer days annually and donation matching for approved charitable contributions. Comprehensive Insurance: Health, Life, Trauma, and Income Protection Insurance. Wellness Allowance: A monthly allowance to support your wellbeing. Flexible Leave Policies: Including parental leave and flexible time‑off arrangements. Perks and Discounts: Access to exclusive discounts and additional employee benefits. Diversity & Inclusion: Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, Australia’s First Nations peoples, and are committed to reconciliation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
