Head Baker – Publique bakery, Coburg North, VIC We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Baker to join our team at Publique bakery in Coburg North, VIC . As our Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all baking operations and ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods that delight our customers. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities Manage daily baking operations, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and monitoring productivity. Develop and refine recipes to maintain the highest standards of product quality. Train and mentor the baking team of 10 to improve their skills and techniques. Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations. Collaborate with the management team to improve operational efficiency and identify new business opportunities. Maintain detailed records of production, inventory, and costs. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Baker or in a similar leadership role within the baking and pastry industry . Demonstrated expertise in the preparation of a wide range of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and specialty items. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to address challenges and optimise production. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate the baking team. Passion for creating high‑quality, innovative baked goods and a commitment to using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Food safety and hygiene certification, or willingness to obtain.
