What makes this role exciting You’ll work with people who have big, real world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities. Every client is a unique story. You’ll tailor supports to their goals, vibes, routines, values, and culture. You’ll team up with families, medical professionals, and other support workers to keep everything running smoothly. Shifts flexible with your day, and you’ll build genuine relationships, not just checklists What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*) Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines. Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift. Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests. Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible. Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being Who we’re looking for A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul. Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances. Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles. Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork. Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts. Values fit: Bring Energy, Nurture and Care, Act with Integrity, Listen and Connect in action. Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
