We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join Vanguard’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC). As part of a motivated team, you will provide legal advice, counsel and support to the Funds, Platforms and Financial Adviser Services businesses. Your role will be critical in managing legal risk, ensuring compliance, and helping Vanguard achieve its strategic goals. Core Responsibilities Provide legal support to the Product, Platforms and Financial Adviser Services businesses. Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legally significant documents. Monitor, analyse and respond to legislative and regulatory developments to ensure they are addressed appropriately. Lead complex commercial contract negotiations and implement business processes and compliance procedures for a range of legal matters. Represent the organization in specialised legal proceedings before courts, government agencies or other authorities. Develop strong working relationships with overseas‑based colleagues. Coach junior staff and help resolve problems. Participate in special projects as required. What we are looking for Law degree (LLB, JD, LLM) and practising certificate in Australia. Significant legal experience in the Funds Management industry. Strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence and add value to senior stakeholders. Ability to work quickly and independently, with meticulous attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment and think flexibly with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
