Medical Scientist – Toxicology - Full time ClinipathPathology is part of the Sonic Healthcare organisation which has a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Scientist to work full time, 38 hours per week, in the Toxicology Department at the Osborne Park Laboratory. Hours of work will be rostered between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. Some Saturday work will also be required between 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. The successful applicant will be working as part of a team within a busy department where enthusiasm and commitment to laboratory goals is required. Key Responsibilities Sample receipt and triaging Preparing samples for analysis (screening and confirmatory testing) Operating and maintaining automated instruments Assisting the scientific staff Communicating effectively and professionally with customers General laboratory duties Essential Requirements A Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a science degree with subjects relevant to the field of pathology, or an overseas qualification which has been assessed by AIMS as being equivalent A demonstrated ability to work in an efficient, professional way both independently and co-operatively with others Ability to work to deadlines with close attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A current National Police Clearance Highly Desirable Experience working within a Toxicology or Biochemistry department An understanding of Urine Drug testing to AS/NZS 4308:2023 and Oral Fluid testing to AS/NZS 4760:2019 Confidential enquiries can be directed to Mai Huynh at ******@clinipath.net Please apply via Seek.
