ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE Our client is a well‑established hospitality and entertainment group managing a portfolio of venues across Victoria. They are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their close‑knit finance team supporting end‑to‑end financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement across multiple entities. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong technical skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and review monthly financial reports and reconciliations across multiple entities Manage general ledger functions, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries Oversee the integrity of the asset register and assist in preparing statutory reporting and BAS Drive month‑end close and improve reporting accuracy Support cashflow management and forecasting, ensuring alignment across multiple bank accounts and multiple clearing accounts Conduct variance analysis and P&L reviews, ensuring key insights are communicated clearly to management Assist with the transition and implementation of the new ERP system Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and venue managers as required SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Degree‑qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CPA/CA qualification highly regarded but not essential Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role Strong understanding of accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger processes Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (MYOB, Acumatica, or similar) Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Proven capability in process improvement and financial reporting accuracy Confident communicator with a collaborative, hands‑on approach Hospitality or multi‑entity experience highly regarded #J-18808-Ljbffr
