(Organisation site )Metropolitan South Region, Early Childhood and State Schools DivisionGlenala State High School is looking for an enthusiastic Head of Department to lead our Humanities and LOTE Department starting from the beginning of Semester Two 2024 until the end of Term 1 2025. The successful applicant will lead our dynamic Humanities Faculty and will work to develop and maintain highstandards for both staff and students.This is a temporary full-time position to commence 8 July 2024 until 4 April 2025 unless otherwise determined.About the DepartmentThe Department of Education are dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity. We have an enrolment of over 1,100 students in 2024 and 160 staff working at the school.For further information about the school, please visit our school's website.About the RoleAs the Head of Department - Humanities/LOTE you will:Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools DivisionLead the development of the curriculum for Australian Curriculum Version 9Build teacher capability in the whole school pedagogical approach and PBL frameworkQuality Assure the teaching and learning of the department through moderation and classroom observation processes.Provide an inclusive and assessable environment for teachers, parents and the community.Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
