This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About the SchoolBundamba State Secondary College is a diverse, culturally rich and aspirational community where everyone has the opportunity to experience success, a sense of belonging and personal growth.About the RoleAs the Head of Department - Mathematics, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead school AIP strategy of Successful students, Endless Opportunities, Empowered Communities.Faculty strategy including improvement strategies, meetings, faculty promotion and innovation.Teach 3 lines as required in school timetable.Schoolwide NAPLAN management inclusive of data investigations for growth areas of impact to inform targeted curriculuminterventionsCurriculum and AssessmentInstructional leadership of learning and teaching (pedagogy and curriculum), assessment and performance.11 & 12 Specialist Maths Cluster Lead, 11 & 12 Mathematical Methods, General Maths, Essential MathsShort Course in Numeracy7-10 MathsCert II GEAAll subjects are inclusive of ICP and EALD studentsQuality assurance of curriculum plans and teacher planning, including senior TLAPS (general, essential, short course and applied)Quality assurance of embeddedness of AC, QCE and vocational learning in curriculumModeration and calibration of all curriculum and results, Support staff preparing ICP related assessment and resourcesLead student inclusion and differentiation in all faculty subjects.People and PedagogyBuild capacity of teachers in facultyAPDPs for allocated faculty teachers identifying priority areas for supportEngage in collegial observations and feedback, Visit classes on a formal and informal basisSupervision of senior/experienced senior teacher additional activities, oversight of faculty teachers moving from provisional to full registrationFacilitate, organise and approve appropriate professional development in accordance with curriculum trendsSupport staff with student behaviour management and action curriculum related referralsEnsure staff adhere to the whole school learning policy.Data and ReportingAnalyse and review faculty subject data to inform strategic planning and improvementLead data conversations with faculty teachers as per school data planTracking and analysis of student performance and associated interventions/actionsQCAA Senior data uploads for student management, QCAA Upload student work.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
