Are you a seasoned Project Manager or Project Engineer ready to shape and lead a national PMO function? We are now seeking an Engineering Projects Management Office (PMO) Manager and hands‑on leader to build and drive continuous improvement across our engineering and infrastructure project delivery. With a national accountability, this role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this newly created role will establish and lead the Engineering and Projects Management Office. You will be responsible for developing frameworks uplifting capability and driving governance and performance across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. Direct Reports Engineering Administrator Reporting & Data Analyst Lead Project Controls Lead Responsibilities & Requirements Lead capital planning and PMO governance for projects up to $100 M. Develop and implement national systems processes and performance tracking tools. Re‑establish and own the Project Management Framework tools and templates. Standardise project management practices across Engineering. Drive capability uplift through coaching, training and change management. Build and lead a high‑performing team of Project Managers to drive engineering project success. Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure strategic alignment and resource optimisation. Own portfolio health and provide direction on project performance issues. Partner with Senior Program Managers to deliver business outcomes. Create and maintain cost and schedule databases. Deliver infrastructure projects (e.g. tanks, pumps, piping) with strong data integration. Qualifications: About you 8–10 years experience in project management or engineering delivery. Strong background in infrastructure (civil modular above/below ground). Proven ability to build and lead a PMO from the ground up (desirable). Systems thinker with practical in‑field experience. Passion for engineering and continuous improvement. Ability to create tools, models and frameworks that drive performance. Experience with ageing assets, civil works and complex ground conditions.
