You’ll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver an elevated yet accessible French dining experience, executing classics with precision, bringing energy to every service, and helping create the fast-paced, vibrant vibe that defines FRENCHIE. Role Overview: Sous Chefs & Chef de Parties Key Responsibilities – For Both Roles Execute Classic French Dishes: Deliver bold, flavour-forward French plates with consistency, speed, and precision. High Food Standards: Ensure every dish meets FRENCHIE’s standards for taste, presentation, and portioning. Prep & Service Excellence: Maintain organisation, speed, and accuracy during busy services. Hygiene & Safety: Uphold top-tier food safety standards and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen crew to keep vibes high and service smooth. Additional Responsibilities – Sous Chefs Leadership & Support: Assist the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, managing service, and keeping operations tight. Training & Development: Mentor junior chefs and Chef de Parties, helping to build skills and confidence. Inventory & Ordering: Help manage stock, ordering, and waste control. Menu Input: Contribute ideas for menu tweaks, specials, and seasonal updates. Additional Responsibilities – Chef de Parties Section Ownership: Run your section with confidence, ensuring prep is on point and service is seamless. Skill Development: Grow your technical skills in classic and modern French cooking. Support the Team: Back up other sections when needed and keep communication tight during service. What We’re Looking For For Sous Chefs Experience in a high-volume restaurant, ideally French or European. Strong leadership skills and the ability to run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence. Precision, consistency, and a passion for mentoring others. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. For Chef de Parties Solid experience in a busy kitchen environment. Great technique, strong section control, and a desire to keep improving. Passion for French cuisine and a drive to learn under talented leadership. Reliability, positivity, and a strong work ethic. For Both A love for bold, flavour-driven food. Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic hospitality environment.
