The role of the Community Parking Officer will beto assist in monitoring, patrolling and enforcement of all on street parking, as well as Council’s car parking areas. Pay Rate for the role is a very good $43.98 per hour, working full days Monday to Friday ongoing. Position will begin Immediately. Key Responsibilities Patrolling and enforcing all on street parking and Council’s car parking areas. Providing information to the public regarding parking laws; Issuing penalty notices where required. Providing excellence in customer service and maintaining public safety wherever you work. Customer Service / Administartion / Reporting / Data Entry Success Criteria Current Class C Driver’s Licence Computer Literacy Effective, quality and customer focused written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Past experience in customer service roles Knowledge of the Cairns area and its tourist attractions Knowledge of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 and Road Regulations 2009 – QLD Road Rules Candidates will be required to complete a national police check.
