About the role We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Adelaide Metabolic Surgery. As a part‑time Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient running of our healthcare facility located in Ashford Specialist Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic and operational success of our practice. What you'll be doing Overseeing the day‑to‑day administrative and financial operations of the practice Surgical/theatre bookings, liaising with Anaesthetists, Hospital, Surgical Assistant etc Invoicing/receipting, banking, and Health Fund Claims Administrative support Reconciling of accounts, communicating with the company accountant Liaising with healthcare providers, hospitals and other stakeholders to coordinate seamless service delivery Daily reception duties in a small bespoke surgical practice (not managing a larger team of administrators) 3.5 to 4 days a week of work (negotiable/partially flexible) What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience in a healthcare medical receptionist / administrator role preferred Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, regulations and best practices Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and multitasking skills Experience or understanding of Genie practice management software preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Available to cover annual leave and sick leave as required What we offer At Adelaide Metabolic Surgery, we are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment, as such we are willing to negotiate preferred working hours/days per fortnight.
