Apply today Fuel your career in the Oil & Gas sector Sharpe® are seeking an experienced Fitter and Service Tradesperson seeking a fresh challenge to join our thriving family‑owned business in the oil and gas industry. About the role: Based at our Brisbane facility, you’ll handle fitting operations to ensure high‑quality manufactured and repaired products. Key responsibilities include: Servicing, bucking, hard banding, and pressure testing. Maintain, repair, and service workshop equipment (e.g., lathes, bucking units, compressors, forklifts). Review drawings/specifications to determine requirements; apply quality controls and inspect for compliance. Operate lifting equipment (with licenses) and handle non‑trade tasks independently or in teams. Provide trade guidance, training, and support for new employees/apprentices. Follow Customer, OEM, and API Standards for Well Control/Wellhead Equipment, including dismantling, repairing, assembling, inspections, and testing. Report nonconformances and assist with reports and spare parts purchasing. What we’ll be looking for in you Minimum Certificate III in Engineering‑Mechanical trade (Fitting and/or Machining). Appropriate licences for materials handling equipment and relevant vehicles. Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred. Why Join Us?
