East Perth District Basketball Association View all jobs The purpose of the Operations Manager is to oversee the performance and basketball operations of the EPDBA, aligning with the association's strategic priorities and goals. The Operations Manager provides leadership and is responsible for implementing high-performance strategies that promote continuous improvement, growth, and sustainability of the Eagles. The Operations Manager ensures that the association’s performance and delivery are managed daily according to the EPDBA Board’s directives, with a focus on business operations, policies and procedures, competitions, basketball programs, and facilities. The role encompasses responsibilities such as: Leading operational and financial performance Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders Driving growth to position EPDBA as a regional leader in basketball Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Your duties include but are not limited to: Overseeing the implementation of all EPDBA programs and competitions Partnering with the Board to execute the Strategic Plan, including audits, reporting, and strategic advice Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance governance, participation, and community engagement Developing and maintaining a profitable, sustainable business model, managing revenue and expenditure within the budget Ensuring policies meet legislative requirements and staff compliance with child protection standards Supporting governance issues and internal controls Representing EPDBA positively to stakeholders and the public Liaising with local authorities regarding programs, initiatives, and facilities Building partnerships with key stakeholders and sponsors to foster growth Key Requirements Manage and coordinate: EPDBA competitions and programs including Development, Junior and Senior Domestic, WABL, and NBL1 teams Compliance with NBL1 and WABL operational rules Administrative functions and stakeholder meetings Coaching and Player Development Programs Marketing, media, and event planning strategies Grant applications from local and government bodies Financial management software and Play HQ Qualifications include a tertiary degree in Sports Management or equivalent, with at least 2 years of sporting/business experience and knowledge of managing a successful sports or community association from a basketball perspective. Key Performance Indicators Successful, financially viable programs Effective staff KPI management Execution of the Strategic Plan Maintaining positive relationships with clubs, sponsors, and stakeholders Annual performance and salary reviews by the board Additional Insights This role involves assessing your right to work in Australia, your experience as an operations manager, administration and auditing experience, and a current Working With Children Check.
