Manager - Human Capital & Risk Compliance - Workforce & Industrial Relations The Human Capital Risk and Compliance Practice services all segments of the market in which KPMG operates. We are a multidisciplinary team bringing together practical experience and deep expertise across industrial relations, employment law, payroll operations, risk assurance and data analytics to provide an end‑to‑end service across all human capital risk and compliance services. Job Description Join us to help shape the future of employment obligation management and benefit from working closely with data analytics, senior stakeholders and complex clients requiring tailored support. Responsibilities Providing support on engagements and participating in client service delivery across pay remediation analytics, payroll compliance reviews, internal audits, deal and industrial relations advisory support, and enforceable undertaking reviews. With direction from others to complete client‑facing tasks and assignments, delivering a high standard of quality. Supporting clients and interdisciplinary KPMG engagement teams to understand, interpret and apply employment obligations under industrial instruments. Working closely with, and building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues from a broad range of backgrounds (including data analytics, risk consulting and strategy and operations) to provide practical, real‑world solutions for our clients. Demonstrating a learning and growth mindset by developing understanding and knowledge across our multi‑disciplinary service delivery. Taking proactive ownership of your goals and performance, including seeking feedback from team members and regular check‑ins with leaders. Technical Skills Interpretation of employment obligations from a variety of sources – including modern awards, enterprise agreements and legislation. Research and document legislative history, case law, regulatory guidance and commentary to inform understanding and interpretation of employment obligations. Tailor application of entitlements and obligations to specific circumstances – including different working arrangements, rosters and operational requirements that may trigger pay and entitlements. Understand and leverage data to bring meaningful insights into the delivery of our services. Digest, distil and communicate complex concepts both orally and in written form. Enjoy working in detail and proactively ensure accuracy and timeliness. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include: Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships. Expertise in interpreting and advising on employment obligations including modern awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation and leave. Expertise in legal research including statutory and contractual interpretation. Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills. Experience contributing to the development of reports for an executive‑level audience. Industry experience (including secondments) in industrial relations or in‑house employment law. Experience working with multi‑disciplinary project teams. Understanding of payroll systems and processes. Qualifications We are looking for applicants that have tertiary qualifications in any of the following or relevant industry experience across legal practice, workplace/industrial relations, payroll or regulatory enforcement: Law (admission to practice is not required) Commerce or Business (with specialisation in Human Resources or Employee Relations) Additional Information KPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
