MULHOLLAND INSTALLATION PTY LTD – Brisbane QLD Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Mulholland Installation Pty Ltd Aluminium Metal Fabricator Permanent full-time position 38 hours per week Salary $76,515 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation Eagle Farm, Brisbane We are looking for a self- motivated, English speaking, articulate person to fill the role of Aluminium Metal Fabricator within our company. Responsibilities Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools and metal cutting machines Shaping and bending metal sections using hand and machine tools Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments Joining metal sections using various welding, bolting and riveting techniques Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding Assembling various components using various hand tools and power tools Preparing and chemically pre-treating products ready for powder coating processes Cutting and forming metal using guillotines and press brake machines Qualifications Minimum of three years’ experience in non-structural metal fabrication, experience working on architectural projects, experience in Aluminium fabrication Certificate III in Metal Fabrication (preferable not mandatory) Strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and engineering drawings Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions. Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven. Skilled in the use of fabrication equipment such as MIG/TIG welders, grinders, cutting machines, screw guns & riveting Commitment to workplace health and safety #J-18808-Ljbffr
