Position Overview Bentleigh Secondary College, part of the Department of Education Victoria – Bentleigh VIC. Role As a key ICT support role, you will provide effective first‑ and second‑level technical support in a school environment. You will manage support staff, ensure confidentiality of records and communication systems, and support the maintenance of school ICT systems and applications. Selection Criteria Technical knowledge and ICT support capability – Demonstrated knowledge of information and communication technologies with ability to provide first‑ and second‑level support for hardware, software, peripherals and networked devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices and audio‑visual equipment. Ability to troubleshoot issues, prioritise tasks and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner. Systems, applications and infrastructure support – Capacity to support and maintain school ICT systems and applications, including operating systems, learning platforms and administrative software. Assist with user account management, device configuration, basic network support and the rollout or maintenance of ICT resources. Communication, customer service and teamwork – Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, patient and respectful support to students, staff and visitors of varying technical knowledge. Able to work collaboratively as part of a team, follow instructions and contribute positively to a service‑focused environment. Organisation, problem‑solving and work practices – Demonstrated organisational and problem‑solving skills, manage competing priorities, document issues and solutions, follow established procedures, work independently or under direction, exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality. Commitment to child safety, professional conduct and continuous learning – Commitment to child‑safe standards, professional conduct and Department policies. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning to maintain and enhance ICT knowledge and skills. Responsibilities Manage the work practices and priorities of support staff in a school. Maintain confidentiality in respect to all school records and communication systems.
