The roleWe are seeking a self-motivated Payroll Officer to join our experienced, client-focused team to provide accurate and timely payroll support and advice to ALS laboratories across the region.Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and National Payroll Manager, and as part of a collaborative team, you will process end-to-end payroll for your stakeholder group.
The day to dayThe successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:
Setting up new employeesTerminating employeesProcessing any permanent and temporary changes to employee dataMaintain employee records and personnel filesFollow up any missing paper work from employee files from various labsProcessing time records and calculation of paysProcessing and printing of payroll dataDistribution of payslipsEnd of pay procedure reportingEnd of month procedure reporting eg. Leave reports and overtime reports required by various managersWorkcover claims and reimbursementsMaintenance of employee superannuation fund detailsUpload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor paymentsFilingAd hoc payroll reports as requested.09th May, 2024

The EssentialsThe successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:Experience Required: 2+ years in a similar roleOther Skills: MS office suite, ExcelHighly Desirable : Aurion, KronosExcellent Communication SkillsIntermediate ability in MS Office including Word and ExcelDeadline drivenResponsive to organisational needsAttention to detailSound decision making skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to adapt to changes in organisational structure and software.
