About the Role As Operations Leader you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of events within AAMI Park and across Melbourne Park. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will work closely to coordinate multiple stakeholders including professional sporting tenants, national tournament organisers, sporting event & concert promoters, and internal business partners. The Operations Leader will also guide and develop a team of Operations Supervisors across all events at the Stadium and work closely with our Stadium tenants on their day-to-day objectives. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Delivery: Coordinate delivery on operational functions of over 75 sporting events, including national sporting tournament and international fixtures, and support operational logistics for high-profile Stadium concert events. Leadership & Coaching: Provide hands‑on leadership and guidance to the Operations Supervisor team, building a high‑performance culture of collaboration, ownership and integrity. Tenancy & Stakeholder Management: Grow and strengthen relationships with our sporting tenants, hirers and precinct partners to support their daily operational requirements and align with event and business objectives. Safety & Risk Management: Champion safety, risk, and compliance standards across all Stadium activities, ensuring all staff, hirers and contractors operate safely and in line with organisational standards. Guest Experience Focus: Promote high standards of venue presentation, asset care and operational efficiency with a focus on continuous improvement to drive consistently exceptional guest experience. What You'll Bring Proven experience in event or venue operations within a stadium, arena or major events environment. Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience coaching, motivating and developing frontline operational teams. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted, positive relationships across tenants, hirers and internal partners. Excellent organisational, planning and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to stay calm, clear and proactive under pressure. A solutions‑focused mindset with the confidence to make sound operational decisions in dynamic environments. Flexibility to work across a 7‑day operational calendar, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Proficiency with event planning tools and operational systems (e.g. Momentus, Monday.com, MS Office Suite).
