Description Make Your Mark on a WA Success Story. Requirements This role is a 6‑month fixed‑term position. Location: Narngulu Dry Plant Roster: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Position Purpose Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Assistant is responsible for completing analyses of samples in the Dry Plant laboratory. Key Responsibilities (Laboratory) Maintain a clean and tidy work area Collect samples by the appropriate sampling methods Conduct regular quality analyses using various laboratory equipment, techniques and methods Sampling, sorting and assaying of mine in‑fill drilling samples Maintain database of all sample details and results, prepare summaries as required Attend to miscellaneous requests from Laboratory Supervisor/Shift Supervisor/DP Superintendent/Production Manager/General Manager Essential Qualifications and Experience Completed Year 12 (Math, Science, and English) or equivalent experience MSL30122 Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or equivalent qualification is desirable Basic understanding of laboratory processes including sampling, analyses, and reporting is desirable Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Online software packages Intermediate data entry skills Relevant Skills and Competencies Excellent time management skills Complete analyses with precision and accuracy to produce high quality results Reliable attention to detail and adherence to procedures Positive and confident manner with a cooperative approach to people Ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously Effective written and verbal communication Willingness and ability to complete training as required Employee Benefits Leave for all of life’s reasons (Annual, Personal, Community Service, Parental, Long Service Leave) 2x Protected Public holidays to celebrate important events with family and friends Flexible work arrangements Generous employee incentive scheme (Bonus) Superannuation above statutory minimum for long‑term employees Gym membership program Employee assistance programme Values and Behaviours Teamwork: Work collaboratively and support one another to achieve great outcomes.
