Western Australia State Manager
vor 1 Woche
We are seeking a driven and experienced Western Australia (WA) State Manager to lead our Perth team in delivering high-quality support to our participants, prioritising safety, and ensuring that fun is at the heart of everything we do. This role is performance-focused, aiming to drive the growth of our services across the state while upholding the core values of What Ability. As WA State Manager, you will oversee operations, ensure compliance, and foster a positive environment for both participants and staff. Your leadership will be key in maintaining the high standards we set and supporting the continuous development of our services. Role Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee key operational processes such as rostering, bookings on Supportmate, onboarding of new support workers and participants, managing inbound enquiries, and maintaining up-to-date records. Ensure compliance with organisational standards through document screening and internal audits. Understand the KPI model and effectively communicate it to the team, motivating them to meet both team and company goals. Team Management Lead and manage all aspects of staff recruitment, full time performance reviews, and dismissals across the state. Foster a positive team culture and coordinate staff training and professional development. Monitor team performance to ensure KPIs and goals are met for all roles, including Regional and Area Managers. Participant and Family Engagement Facilitate clear and consistent communication between support workers and families to ensure high-quality service delivery. Build strong relationships with participants and their families, ensuring their needs and expectations are met with empathy and professionalism. Assist with managing participant accounts for eligible NDIS participants. Quality Assurance and Compliance Collaborate with the National Compliance Manager to uphold and maintain compliance across the state. Work alongside the National Team to ensure legal and safety requirements are consistently met. Partner with the National Camp Manager to ensure smooth camp operations as required. Contribute to the implementation of quality assurance protocols to ensure high service standards. Collaboration and Growth Play a key role in driving state-wide growth and contribute to the broader organisational development through the implementation of the "What Ability Standard." Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders - including plan managers, support coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, and broader community partners - to drive participant growth and strengthen the state’s presence. Team Structure At What Ability, we follow a unique organisational structure known as our "Help Chart," which intentionally flips the traditional hierarchy. Here, our CEO, Jared Chapman, sits at the bottom, with the rest of the team ascending upward. This structure reflects our belief that leaders and managers exist to support the team, providing the resources and guidance needed for everyone to succeed. The WA State Manager reports to our National Support Manager, Ellie Healey, and leads a dedicated team that includes Senior Regional Managers, Regional Managers, Area Managers, Participant Onboarders, and Camp Managers. You will also work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of services, participant satisfaction, and staff development across the state. Key Skills and Attributes Proven experience in a leadership or management role. Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and regulatory compliance requirements - not essential, but preferred. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of the NDIS framework and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to foster strong relationships with staff, participants, and families. Highly organised with excellent time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, creating a positive and performance-driven culture. Proficiency in rostering and scheduling software such as Supportmate, Jira, Google Docs, or the ability and willingness to learn new tools. Australian citizenship is required for this position. Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory requirements. Why Join Us? Be part of a passionate team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
