Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development/Account Manager, based in Melbourne, VIC, with provisions for partial work-from-home flexibility. The BDM/Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, managing waste management programs, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented. Day-to-day, the account manager will oversee all aspects of client accounts, prepare reports, analyze performance metrics, and deliver exceptional service while identifying opportunities for optimization and growth. Qualifications Experience in client relationship management, account handling, and customer service. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of waste management practices and industry trends; experience in managing suppliers is a plus. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing data reports, developing proposals, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Capability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a hybrid work environment. Educational background in Business Administration, Environmental Management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a similar role or the waste management industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
