Overview Team Leader City Cleansing – Lead the operational activities of a city cleansing team for the City of Sydney. About the Role The Team Leader is responsible for managing and organising the workplace, resolving conflict, and planning tasks. The role involves leading one day‑shift and one afternoon‑shift cleansing team within the City of Sydney. Responsibilities The position requires a self‑motivated, dedicated people‑person with strong communication skills and a champion for safety. Attributes & Qualifications Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational skills, ensuring service schedules are met. Ability to delegate tasks and trust team members’ capabilities. Integrity, leading by example to earn team trust. Confident work ethic, fostering a positive team spirit. Health & Safety Responsibilities Interpret, understand and apply WHS legislation in the workplace. Lead by example and actively promote health and safety. Consult on WHS matters and communicate with all staff and representatives. Identify, assess, control and monitor hazards within the area of responsibility. Participate in workplace incident investigations and ensure timely notification to supervisors and management. Ensure plant, equipment and structures are properly maintained with accurate records.
