What You’ll Do: As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining safety, supporting daily operations, and fostering a positive, therapeutic environment. Your responsibilities will include: Providing an immediate and effective response to critical incidents Escorting patients safely to other departments or appointments Assisting with the overall cleanliness and order of the unit Supporting daily unit activities and engagement programs Conducting routine environmental and safety checks Testing and recording duress alarms and maintaining safety equipment Collaborating closely with nursing and clinical staff to ensure the best outcomes for patients You may also have opportunities to work across different Mental Health Inpatient Units, gaining valuable experience and broadening your skills. Commitment to interact with patients and facilitate unit activities. Demonstrated ability to perform duties and tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member. Good written/verbal skills and sound computer and keyboard skills. Current Class 1 C NSW drivers licence (unrestricted) and Current 1 A Security licence. Demonstrated experience in the security and or health industry and knowledge of duress alarm systems. Sound knowledge of WH&S issues and understanding of the requirement for strict confidentiality.
