YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Analyst - Wilson Blood Cancer Genomics (3x Ongoing, Full Time positions available) 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADOs Attractive salary packaging options are available About the team We are seeking a highly talented and self‑motivated medical scientist to join the Wilson Blood Cancer Genomics analysis team within the Molecular Pathology Division of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Pathology Department. This dynamic team performs data analysis and prepares clinical reports for various blood cancer genomics tests including targeted DNA and RNA sequencing panels, IGHV somatic hypermutation analysis and NGS‑based measurable residual disease assays. About the role The successful candidate will have experience with these methods in addition to experience in diagnostic pathology. The role will primarily involve diagnostic reporting and other related activities, including regular participation in result review meetings, ongoing training and education, quality activities and service development. You’ll bring with you: BSc or equivalent with specific training and/or experience in molecular diagnostics. Professional approach to patient care, service confidentiality and provision of pathology/testing services. Ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate cooperatively in a team including other scientists, senior scientists, pathologists, genetic counsellors, clinical staff and researchers.
