As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in SESLHD you will play a pivotal role in clinical service and consultancy, clinical leadership, research, education and clinical services planning and management. The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Critical Care Medicine (CCM) at The Sutherland Hospital is an expert in the specialty of Intensive Care Nursing, and has responsibility for supporting the needs of CCM and providing consultancy to the broader hospital. You will be part of a team that strives to support each other to reach our potential, focus on what matters most and continue to be innovative in approaches to practice. Clinical Care Consultants are employed as Grade 2 according to the criteria outlined below, and in line with the NSW Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' (State) Award. For role related queries or questions contact Gregory Cramery on Selection Criteria Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife Have at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in Intensive Care Nursing. In addition, must have approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to Intensive Care Nursing. Demonstrated ability to apply clinical expertise in a consultant role and the ability to work independently. Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidence based nursing care. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing change, and developing direction in clinical practice by initiation, utilization, review and translation of evidence‑based research into practice, within a person‑centred framework. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to analyse data and produce reports.
