Where You'll Be Working Occupational Therapy, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. What You'll Be Doing The purpose of the position is to provide specialised orthopaedic & surgical Occupational Therapy services as part of an acute, multidisciplinary team. The position has responsibility for planning, co‑ordinating and implementing evidence based practice in addition to providing clinical expertise and specialised knowledge, with specific occupational therapy assessment and treatment skills in orthopaedics & surgery. The position has line responsibility for the guidance of Level 1/2 staff members using specialised occupational therapist skills in orthopaedics & surgery, and may include responsibility for a Level 1/2 occupational therapist in the respiratory / cardiac ward. The position provides a Monday to Friday service. Candidate Requirements Qualification recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and demonstrated experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2 or above. Evidence of advanced occupational therapy expertise and clinical reasoning skills within the clinical area of orthopaedics and general surgery. Additionally, experience in cardiac & respiratory occupational therapy service provision will be highly regarded. Experience providing advice, support or supervision to occupational therapy colleagues and students, primarily in the clinical area of orthopaedics and general surgery.
