The Role Quality & Compliance Officer is a highly regarded and trusted role within our organisation, playing a critical part in safeguarding the quality, safety and integrity of our services. This role supports the organisation to meet its legislative, regulatory and contractual obligations across disability and child‑related services, while actively contributing to the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care through the adoption of best practice. You will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and quality systems, ensuring compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards , preparing for certification and surveillance audits, and conducting internal audits across our group homes and other key operational areas. Working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and external stakeholders, this role offers valuable exposure to governance, audits and organisational decision‑making, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in quality, compliance and continuous improvement . Key Responsibilities Quality & Policy Management Develop, review and maintain organisational policies and procedures aligned with: NDIS Practice Standards Child Safe Standards Ensure policies reflect best practice, legislation and operational needs Maintain document registers, version control and review schedules Compliance & Audits Support preparation for NDIS certification and surveillance audits Coordinate internal audits, including audits of SIL houses and service delivery environments Assist with external audits and regulatory reviews Identify non‑conformances and support corrective action planning and implementation Continuous Improvement Review incidents, feedback and audit outcomes to identify trends and risks Support continuous improvement initiatives across services Contribute to the development and monitoring of improvement actions Reporting & Governance Maintain accurate quality and compliance documentation Assist with reporting to leadership and regulatory bodies Support organisational compliance monitoring activities Training & Support Provide guidance and support to staff on quality and compliance requirements Assist with delivery of training related to policies, procedures and compliance obligations Act as a point of contact for quality and compliance enquiries Skills & Experience Essential Experience in a quality, compliance or governance role within the disability services, child protection or another regulated human services sector Sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and internal auditing processes Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams Possess or be willing to obtain: NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check Desirable Relevant qualifications in quality, compliance, auditing or a related field Experience supporting NDIS audits or accreditation processes Experience auditing residential or SIL environments What We Offer A supportive, inclusive and values‑driven culture where quality, collaboration and respect are genuinely lived every day A positive team environment where your contribution is valued and your voice is heard Strong support from leadership and the opportunity to work alongside passionate, experienced professionals Meaningful professional development opportunities, with exposure to audits, governance and organisation‑wide quality systems The opportunity to make a real and visible impact on service quality, compliance and safeguarding outcomes #J-18808-Ljbffr
