The Opportunity: A Chef Job with a Life iSupportChef is looking for passionate, highly skilled Casual In-Home Chefs to provide personalised meal preparation for our wonderful NDIS and Aged Care clients across Brisbane. This is an extremely rewarding role where you get to use your culinary skills to directly improve a person's life, nutrition, and independence. Why You Should Ditch the Commercial Kitchen: Exceptional Work-Life Balance: Primarily daytime, weekday hours . Absolutely NO late nights, NO split shifts , and minimal weekend work. Highly Competitive Casual Rate: Earn a great hourly rate ($38.00 - $60.00 p/h) , plus Superannuation and kms. Autonomy & Creativity: Work one-on-one with clients, designing and preparing customised meals based on their dietary needs (texture modified, diabetic, allergies) and personal preferences. This is cooking with a true purpose Meaningful Connection: Build strong, personal relationships with your clients, becoming a valued and essential part of their support network. Your Day-to-Day Role: Travel to clients' homes across your nominated area of Brisbane. Collaborate with clients to plan weekly and monthly menus based on their budget, dietary requirements, and personal tastes. Perform grocery shopping for ingredients. Prepare and batch-cook nutritious, high-quality, and appealing meals in the client's home, ensuring strict food safety and hygiene standards are followed. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment. Complete basic documentation related to support provided (training supplied). What You'll Need to Succeed: Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification/experience. Experience: Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role. Experience with specialised dietary requirements (e.g., texture-modified, diabetic, low-salt) is highly regarded. Mandatory Checks: Must possess or be willing to obtain a Working With Children (Blue Card) and a current National Police Check . Licence & Vehicle: A current, valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle is essential for travel between clients. Soft Skills: A genuine, empathetic, and patient nature. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
