Senior Therapeutic Case Manager - Foster Care Location: Preston, VIC 3072 Employment: Fixed Term – Full time (12 months with view to extend) Salary: $100,783 – $105,349 (plus super) About the Organization The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community‑Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal community. About the Role The Senior Therapeutic Case Manager delivers culturally grounded therapeutic leadership for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in VACCA’s foster care. Responsibilities include: Managing complex caseloads and ensuring out‑of‑home care (OOHC) compliance. Partnering with the Healing Team to support carers and coordinate services. Mentoring colleagues and leading audit preparation and reporting. Providing developmental and trauma‑informed casework, including regular visits and cultural guidance. Using the Looking After Children framework to assess needs, maintain records, and prepare quarterly, court, and Best Interests Planning reports. Collaborating with ACHT, Child Protection, and S18 agencies to share information, uphold legislative standards, and lead care teams. Supporting program development, mentoring, and contributing to OSH & agency compliance activities. Requirements Diploma of Community Services or a related qualification in Social Work or similar. Extensive case‑management experience. Ability to work flexible hours. Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). Victorian Driver Licence.
