Job Description As Retail Credit Officer, you will be responsible for analysing, assessing and making final decisions on motor vehicle finance applications from both our dealer network and internal retention team as well as providing operational support to our Settlements team when needed. You will also liaise with accountants, business managers, other financiers and employers on a daily basis. What you'll do Assess credit decisions within set requirements and follow procedures. Always provide sound advice regarding process / guidelines. Be the trusted advisor to our dealer partners and VWFS Regional Managers. Delegated lending authority of $180,000. Customer is advised of the credit decision promptly and courteously, maintaining 2 hour target. Escalate credit applications to manager if uncertain whether approval / conditions should be imposed. Escalate transactions outside your lending authority to management with recommendations required to ensure speed and accuracy. Ensure that approvals have been documented according to VWFS policies and procedures, with all relevant attachments and forms attached and completed correctly. Take queue calls from customers, remaining logged into the phone queue at all times. Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner. What you'll bring Qualifications in Finance, alternatively, experience in the financial services or banking industry. 2 years' experience in credit lending. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment. A motivation to learn.
