Your Position: Located in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work on one of Vanderlande's largest and most innovative automated warehousing solutions ever built. The site is fully automated from start to finish, featuring cutting-edge equipment such as storage and retrieval cranes, conveyor belts, robotic arms for pallet-building, and AGV forklifts that seamlessly transport pallets around the facility. Equipment Involved: High-speed conveyors Auto-palletisation and de-palletisation Automatic guided vehicles Cranes Forklifts Multistorey picking, sorting, racking, distribution systems Robotics PLC controls SCADA interfaces You’ll be working on a rotating 4 on / 4 off schedule, which includes two 12-hour day shifts, followed by two 12-hour night shifts, and then you get to enjoy four consecutive days off. Your Responsibilities: Respond to operational issues, error notifications, blockages, alarms, and warnings. Exchange and refill consumables like foil, labels, and cartons. Communicate effectively with relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions for our customers. Monitor Vanderlande equipment and guide client staff on proper machine processes and operations. Clear system issues or blockages, perform low-risk repairs like fixing pneumatic leaks, replacing filters, and aligning or replacing sensors. Follow instructions, work independently, or collaborate as part of a team to get the job done. Minimum Requirements: A highly motivated individual who’s eager to learn quickly. A mechanical or electrical knack and basic problem-solving skills are a plus. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Warehouse experience and a current forklift license are beneficial but not essential. Physical fitness is required. Must be either an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have Australian Permanent Residency with unrestricted work rights.
