Position: Credentialed Diabetes Educator (Registered Nurse) Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Location: Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Remuneration: $74,317.94 – $104,336.27 per annum (pro rata, plus super, leave loading where applicable) Hours per week: up to 38 Requisition ID: REQ About the role We are seeking a Credentialed Diabetes Educator (Registered Nurse) to provide expert education and management across community and hospital in‑patient and out‑patient settings. Supporting clients with Type 1 and complex Type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring. The successful candidate will deliver safe, evidence‑based care and serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Deliver diabetes education and management in community and hospital settings. Provide evidence‑based care to patients with Type 1, complex Type 2, and diabetes in pregnancy. Support patients using insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general practitioners. Serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Qualifications & Competencies Registered Nurse/Midwife; current registration with AHPRA. NGBA competencies for a Registered Nurse/Midwife. Post‑graduate qualifications in Diabetes Education or current accreditation with the Diabetes Nurse Educator Association (or working towards).
