As a cleaner, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the school by providing high‑level cleaning support. The successful candidate will need to work split shifts: Wednesday to Friday, morning shift 5:30 am–8:30 am and afternoon shift 2:30 pm–4:30 pm. This position is offered in a temporary part‑time capacity (0.39 FTE), 29.5 hours per fortnight. About the Role We need a dedicated and proactive cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitise classrooms, offices, toilets, and shared spaces to a high standard. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and hosing. Maintain and safely store cleaning equipment and materials in line with workplace health and safety guidelines. Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to the Principal or Business Manager. Assist with the preparation and cleaning of school facilities for special events or functions. About You Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a school or similar environment. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Awareness of workplace health and safety practices.
