Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg. About Mental Health Division Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services. About the Role Working over 7 days, including morning/afternoon shifts Based in NAMHS Hotham Street, Preston Are you a Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist or Psychiatric Nurse - this could be an excellent opportunity for your next position An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Senior Clinician, to join the team at Northern Health. Hotham Street Community Team is now seeking expressions of interest for all who would like to progress their career as a Senior Clinician and become a pivotal part in the future of Mental Health. At NAMHS Hotham Street you will find an enthusiastic, friendly, professional group of clinicians of various disciplines. We work hard and we work well as a team. Key Responsibilities Deliver evidence based assessments in the person's own community. Provide discipline specific supervision to less experienced staff and students Your Contribution Experienced in the use of evidence-based interventions to support an individual's process of recovery. A team player who is eager to learn from and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Experienced in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability. Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and for team members.
