About Mental Health Division Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services. Key Responsibilities Deliver evidence based assessments in the person's own community. Provide discipline specific supervision to less experienced staff and students Your Contribution Experienced in the use of evidence-based interventions to support an individual's process of recovery. A team player who is eager to learn from and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Experienced in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability. Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and for team members.
