About the role We’re looking for a Senior Experience Designer to help create the next generation of energy products that supports Australia’s clean energy transition – a dream role for those who love strategic, meaningful and impactful design. In this position, you’ll use a human-centered approach to craft simple, affordable, and innovative customer experiences across digital, communication, and contact channels. You’ll lead strategy workshops and experience uplift initiatives, ensuring every solution drives both customers and a renewable future. Roles & Responsibilities Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape Origin’s digital experience vision and translate strategic goals into impactful customer outcomes. Leverage research and insights to define opportunities that influence long-term experience strategy and business priorities. Drive the creation and validation of innovative design solutions that balance customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Create product roadmaps that prioritise delivering maximum values to customers early and often. Establish scalable design frameworks and governance to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment across digital channels. Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring design intent is carried through to delivery. Champion a customer-first mindset across the organisation, influencing strategic decisions that shape Origin’s future experiences. About You Strong experience in UX and Human-Centred Design, delivering impactful user experiences. Skilled in design thinking, user research, and translating insights into clear, customer-focused solutions. Proficient with tools like Figma, Miro, Asana, and Confluence, with a quick ability to learn new platforms. Experienced in designing across digital and non-digital channels, including chat, voice, and communications journeys. Strong communicator and presenter, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex problems. Highly autonomous with a proactive, “can do” attitude, able to thrive in ambiguous and evolving environments. Collaborative and confident in facilitating discussions, managing stakeholders, and driving alignment across teams.
