Exciting opportunity in our Retail Operations Team Initial 12‑month contract Flexible hybrid role – St Kilda Rd or Docklands based office & the comfort of your own home Myer is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join our Retail Operations team, providing the highest level of strategic administrative and confidential operational support to the General Manager – Retail Operations. In addition, the role will partially cover Retail Operations duties to ensure the seamless execution of business objectives. In this pivotal role, the Executive Assistant will collaborate closely with the GM to enable efficiencies, productivity, and effectiveness in delivering operational outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting the Retail Operations portfolio, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day management and stakeholder engagement. About the role Provide dedicated executive administrative and personal support to the GM – Retail Operations to maximise productivity and enable focus on business growth and team success. Manage complex diary scheduling, mailbox oversight, expense reporting, and confidential correspondence. Arrange detailed travel plans, itineraries, agendas, and prepare documents/presentations for meetings. Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining discretion, confidentiality, and trust. Support Retail Operations initiatives including team communications, events, and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with the wider EA network and Building Services to coordinate office events, room bookings, and operational processes. Assist with onboarding, contract management, reporting, and financial administration tasks. Provide ad‑hoc support for company events, town halls, and other EA team activities. About you 3+ years’ experience as Executive Assistant and/or supporting multiple Directors/Executives. EA to GMM experience preferable. Experience working in a retail business supporting a team with multiple priorities preferable. Business Administration Diploma or relevant qualification in this field is preferable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DocuSign, SharePoint & Teams. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with sound attention to detail. Articulate and confident verbal & written communication skills. Creative problem solver who thinks on their feet and finds solutions to non‑black‑and‑white problems, recognising gaps and streamlining processes with little or no guidance. Acts with total discretion and diplomacy, applying sound judgement in responding to circumstances. Proactive can‑do attitude and willingness to learn. Is a self‑starter with the ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team, building positive working relationships and connections with stakeholders on all levels. Passionate, approachable and leads by example. Actively looks for ways to improve systems and processes to simplify and enable the business to become more efficient. Critical thinker and analyser when going through change and transformation. Excellent organisational and leadership ability.
