We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (business partnering role) to join us on a full‑time basis at our Support Centre located in Camberwell. This is an office‑based role. About the role Reporting to the Financial Controller, this newly created role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, driving process improvements and partnering with operations to enhance performance across our 12 aged‑care homes. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong technical skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. Key responsibilities Own month‑end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations and reporting. Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Partner with stakeholders to analyse, report and monitor financial performance. Coordinate the annual group audit, including liaising with auditors and external accountants. Lead and manage the improvement of finance systems and processes to enhance controls and reporting, mitigate risks and ensure accuracy. Support cash flow forecasting, group banking and prudential reporting. Provide forecasting and budgeting support and analysis to the business. Ensure tax compliance – BAS and payroll tax. Provide insightful, real‑time financial/payroll analysis to optimise outcomes and meet care‑minute compliance requirements. Assist with aged‑care quarterly and annual reporting. Analyse government funding and make recommendations. About you Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting. Knowledge of contemporary accounting practices (preferably in aged care). Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. High level financial modelling skills with strong attention to detail. Proven capability in process improvement and financial reporting accuracy. Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
