Course Coordinator – Higher Education (Postgraduate Counselling and Psychotherapy) Metavision Institute Metavision Institute is seeking an accomplished academic leader to join our Higher Education team as Course Coordinator for our postgraduate counselling and psychotherapy programs. About the Role The Course Coordinator is responsible for the academic coordination, quality, and continuous improvement of Metavision Institute’s postgraduate higher education programs. Working closely with the Dean and academic governance committees, the role oversees academic delivery, curriculum development aligned with AQF Levels 8 and 9, and ensures a high-quality student learning experience across on-campus intensives and online modes. Key Responsibilities Coordinating academic aspects of course and unit delivery to a high standard Undertaking admission interviews and ensuring alignment with entry requirements Analysing and responding to student feedback to enhance retention, progression, and overall student experience Leading moderation and quality assurance processes to ensure consistency in marking and grading Contributing to curriculum development, academic governance, and compliance with TEQSA Threshold Standards Fostering a strong culture of scholarship through ongoing research, publications, and professional development Providing leadership that supports respectful, collaborative engagement with students and teaching staff Unit Coordinate and deliver tutorials as needed About You You will be an experienced, research-active academic with demonstrated leadership capability and a strong professional identity in counselling, psychotherapy, or a related discipline. Essential Criteria PhD in counselling and psychotherapy or a closely related discipline Academic employment at Senior Lecturer level or higher Established scholarly profile, including publications, conference presentations, and evidence of ongoing research activity Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating higher education courses Strong understanding of professional, industry, and regulatory standards in counselling and psychotherapy Proven ability to lead, inspire, and engage academic teaching staff and students High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication capabilities Desirable A PhD qualification in higher education teaching Experience in Process-Oriented Psychology, or Steiner Education Why Join Metavision Institute?
