Havcon Engineering is a metal fabrication company located in Harvey Western Australia. We provide metal fabrication and shut down services to local industries, including the mining sector. As our business continues to grow and expand an opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Coordinator to join our Harvey-based team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for end‑to‑end recruitment of staff for permanent roles and temporary labour hire jobs, maintaining employee records, conducting ongoing employee reviews, undertaking performance management tasks, maintaining all HR policies & procedures, social and trade show planning, managing workers' compensation insurance processes, and processing payroll for approximately 45 staff. The role requires at least 30 hours per week over 5 days, with the possibility of up to 38 hours based on operational needs. Selection Criteria Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience HR Qualifications. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in using computerised payroll and organisational software. Experience with MYOB payroll software is advantageous. Experience working with a diverse range of workers, including those on Australian working visas. Sound working knowledge of current Australian workplace legislation, including Industrial Relations legislation, Award Wage requirements and National Employment Standards. Skills, Abilities, Personal Attributes Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess a high level of attention to detail. Full Australian work rights.
