The Travel Inn , a 4-star boutique hotel in the heart of Carlton, is searching for a confident and customer‑focused Night Auditor / Receptionist to join our Front Office team. Why You'll Love Working With Us A warm, welcoming team that values growth and development A boutique hotel environment where you're more than just a number The perfect stepping‑stone into a rewarding hospitality career What You'll Be Doing As the overnight point of contact, you'll keep the hotel running smoothly between 11:00pm and 7:00am. No two nights are the same Your key duties will include: This position requires working 2-3 nights per week during the overnight shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Auditing, balancing, and reconciling the day's transactions Preparing financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) Ensuring all management reports are completed accurately Overseeing all hotel operations during your shift Handling guest requests and resolving issues with confidence and care Maintaining hotel security, including emergency procedures and safety checks Upholding hotel standards and policies throughout the night What We're Looking For You're someone who takes pride in your work and enjoys creating great guest experiences. Ideally, you have: Excellent attention to detail A current and valid driver's licence A strong customer service attitude Great communication skills—both written and verbal A calm, confident approach to handling issues Professional grooming and presentation Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office essential; Protel Cloud a bonus) Previous Front Office/hotel experience is ideal, but not required— we’re happy to train the right person Australian work authorisation is required for this position Ready to Join Us?
