Job Position Major Account Manager – Palo Alto Networks Job Description The Major Account Manager partners with our customers to secure their entire digital experience. You are motivated by the desire to solve critical challenges facing our customer’s secure environment, and you connect them with a solution for every stage of threat prevention. As a significant driver of company revenue and growth, you lead and drive sales engagements through a consultative, value‑centric approach. Palo Alto Networks offers a platformized, zero‑trust security architecture, and our FLIGHT onboarding program equips new hires with virtual and in‑person learning to become fully prepared sales professionals. Responsibilities Drive and orchestrate large, complex sales cycles; collaborate with internal partners to best serve the customer. Use consultative selling to identify business challenges and create solutions for prospects and customers. Analyze the competitive landscape and customer needs to position Palo Alto Networks solutions. Develop a detailed territory plan, create clear goals and produce accurate forecasting. Leverage prospect stories to craft a compelling value proposition with account‑specific insights. Stay current on industry news, trends, and their impact on Palo Alto Networks products and services. Travel within your territory and for company‑wide meetings as necessary. Qualifications Experience and knowledge of SaaS‑based architectures, ideally in networking and/or security. Proven track record in selling complex solutions with value or consultative sales techniques. Technical aptitude for understanding how technology products solve business problems. Strong analytical skills: identify problems, review data, determine root causes, and provide scalable solutions. Ability to build relationships with channel partners to implement a channel‑centric go‑to‑market approach. Deep knowledge of the full sales cycle and ability to follow a structured sales process. Holistic problem‑solving mindset, understanding complex interrelationships and outcomes. Excellent time‑management skills; work autonomously with high levels of self‑direction.
