The role This role ensures that product assortments, pricing and promotional strategies deliver strong commercial results while meeting customer needs and compliance standards. By leveraging data insights and supplier partnerships, the Category Manager supports the network in making informed decisions that drive sales, margin and inventory efficiency. The key responsibilities for this role are : Establish direct relationship with key contacts with supply partners and act as the main point of contact for suppliers' product and sales team. Facilitate and maintain trading agreements, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy. Collaborate with suppliers to obtain complete and up-to-date product information, including technical sheets, certifications and imagery. Product Information Management (PIM) Own the integrity and accuracy of all product data across Worklocker's systems, including descriptions, specifications, pricing, and compliance details. Ensure product content is consistent and optimised for in-store, online, and marketing channels to enhance customer experience and drive sales. Audit product data regularly to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company guidelines. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of PIM tools and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Develop and maintain a structured approach for onboarding new products, ensuring timely and accurate setup for promotions and launches. Category Performance Optimisation Analyse sales, margin, stock turns and inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to store operators to enhance merchandise performance. Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company objectives. Network Support Assist the Worklocker network in making data-driven decisions for assortment planning, pricing, and promotions. Deliver regular performance reports and dashboards to stakeholders. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all trading agreements and category-related documentation are up-to-date and stored securely. Monitor adherence to company policies and supplier terms. What We're Looking For Demonstrates exceptional precision in managing product data, pricing and documentation. Takes pride in delivering error-free work and maintaining consistency across all platforms. Ability to interpret sales, margin, and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions that support category performance. Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality. Builds strong relationships with suppliers, franchise partners and internal teams to achieve shared goals. Takes responsibility for category outcomes and ensures all tasks are completed to the highest standard. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2years' experience in product, merchandising or retail-related roles is essential. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel (functions, pivot table and Vlookup) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Why Worklocker ?
