Senior Industrial Designer

Work on award-winning Tier 1 architectural projects. We have an opportunity for a Senior Industrial Designer to join our interdisciplinary practice. This leadership role would suit someone with 10+ years experience in industrial design and will provide the opportunity to work on architectual, landscape and public art projects. Strong client and stakeholder management is a key part of this role as well as driving all project-related stages—from concept development, detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. You will also have a strong commercial acumen and a keen eye for detail and quality control. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of design projects Manage the development and approval of design concepts, specifications, and budgets. Manage the development of concepts and detailed design documentation. Coordinating the design, manufacturing, and installation of all project-related products. Develop and manage procurement strategies to improve company operations (payment term negotiations, purchasing strategies). Manage designers, project schedules, budgets, cash flow, contract administration, design quality assurance, internal meetings, and risk management. Ensure staff resources are managed effectively during project execution, appropriately prioritising staff health and safety. Ensure the company project resources are maintained to ensure safe, reliable, and clean environments for work. Manage the financial reporting obligations for all projects. Develop and manage client/supplier/manufacturer relationships to ensure positive and productive commercial outcomes. Regular participation in industry and business development events. About You The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can motivate and influence other to drive better outcomess. With high energy and a hands‑on approah, you will have a sharp attention to detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ease with client relationships is key for this role, as is the ability to work confidently both independently and within a team. What you’ll need for this role Applicants from an Industrial Design background. A Degree or higher in related disciplines. Minimum – 10 Years of industry experience and a demonstrated ability to take large-scale design projects from concept to completion. A team-oriented and outcome-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively on complex projects. Exceptional communication skills (written/verbal) with an ability to present to senior stakeholders. An ability to work autonomously on multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional CAD modelling skills (Solidworks / Onshape / Rhino etc.) Exceptional capability in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign) At the time of application, it is essential to have legal rights to work in Australia (an Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
