About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist Level 3 to join our Northwest Community Mental Health team. This senior position plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation care to consumers with complex clinical needs. In this role, you will provide advanced care coordination and therapeutic intervention within a mental health rehabilitation framework. You will undertake functional and psychosocial assessments, deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, and tailor rehabilitation plans to support consumer recovery, independence and community participation. Beyond direct clinical care, you will provide specialist advice to colleagues, contribute to multidisciplinary planning, and work closely with NDIS providers and Community Managed Organisations to ensure consumers receive the right supports at the right time. As a senior clinician, you will provide professional supervision, leadership and advocacy for occupational therapy within the service, helping strengthen profession-specific practice across the district. This role is ideal for an experienced OT passionate about mental health, committed to rehabilitation principles, and ready to step into meaningful leadership within a supportive and progressive team. What You’ll Be Doing Advanced clinical assessments, including functional, psychosocial and mental health evaluations Development and delivery of tailored, evidence-based occupational therapy and rehabilitation interventions High-level care coordination for consumers with complex needs Collaboration with consumers, carers, families and external agencies to support individual goals Specialist consultation to colleagues on occupational and rehabilitation needs Professional leadership and discipline-specific supervision Partnership building with NDIS and Community Managed Organisations to improve consumer outcomes Active contribution to a strong multidisciplinary culture and high-quality service delivery About You You are a highly skilled, motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist with advanced experience in mental health rehabilitation. You practise with confidence, autonomy and integrity, while remaining an engaged and collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and service partners. You demonstrate expert clinical judgement, advanced assessment capability and a strong commitment to evidence-based practice. You bring a deep understanding of psychiatric rehabilitation principles, experience delivering group and individual interventions, and a passion for supporting consumers to achieve independence, wellbeing and meaningful participation in daily life. Requirements Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
